About Lani

As a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher, I call myself a yoga instructor as I give instruction in how to do yoga, to pay attention and to move with awareness. I have studied extensively with Richard Freeman, Rodney Yee and John Friend as well as many other teachers in the 32 years I have been learning and sharing the practice of yoga. I was involved in the teacher training and mentoring program at Amrita Yoga and teach at various studios in the Portland Oregon area including the Multnomah Athletic Club. My specialties are Hatha Yoga, Gentle/Chair Yoga and Restorative. I think inquiry is so important and to keep the body moving in all different ways so I study movement modalities as well and incorporate many interesting and helpful additions to the practice of yoga.

This retreat is for anyone wanting a yoga vacation in a beautiful setting with lovingly prepared meals. People should come for self care, to join others of like mind, make new friends and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of being on retreat.
The retreat will be different as I will include a QiGong practice everyday called Morning Medical, and my own special yoga and meditation. I will teach two levels of yoga so it will be accessible to all. I think the enjoyable extra activities will be enough to add to the experience and still give plenty of time for relaxing or exploring. I hope people will find inner peace and tranquility, enjoyment, and an inspiring retreat from their busy lives.
